Ice Cream, You Scream....

This weekend we visited the Museum of Ice Cream in LA. We were able to get tickets about a week ago when they went on sale. This is a really popular museum where each room has a different concept involving ice cream. It's about 8 rooms or so, full of imagination and fun. It was definitely a fun experience, and we enjoyed everything about it. 

We got tickets for Sunday night and I was so sick, I was debating if I should go or not. But I, one, it was a sold out venue and two, they were already paid for and didn't want the tickets to go to waste. So I just decided to push my sickness aside and go for the ride. I took my daughter and met up with my sister, her boyfriend, and my nieces and made the best of a Sunday night. We drove to LA in the evening visited Urth Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles for some dessert and coffee, then waited for the time to go by to get into the museum. 

Once we got in, it was definitely a place full of imagination, with huge Popsicles, a pool of sprinkles, a room full of rainbows and colorful all away around. In some of the rooms, you were able to enjoy some ice cream and some ice cream toppings too. 

My favorite room was the banana room where you were able to swing on a swing with a banana background and yellow and pink bananas hanging from the ceiling.

The Gummie Bear room- This was lifesize gummie bears with free gummy bear treats to try 

And the grand finale was the Sprinkle Pool. This was actually my daughter's favorite room. She seriously was going crazy!!!

Who's ready for Fall??

As you might already guess, I'm obsessed with Fedoras lately and found the perfect one at Nordstrom. It was love at first sight and of course, I already wore it. I paired it with some ankle jeans, a sweater, and some booties.

I'm so ready for fall but living in California it's wishful thinking, for sure. We are currently in a middle of a heat wave and we are in the 100s right now, it is ridiculously hot!!

Girl's Spa Day!

This weekend my girlfriends and I arranged our very first "Spa Day". We normally go out for dinner to catch and enjoy drinks but this time we wanted to make it a little bit more intimate and enjoyable so we decided to have it at one of my best friend's house with appetizers, wine, and desserts and for all of us to bring a face mask whether it was a peel-off or sheet mask to apply on. 

Seriously, this was a great idea and not sure why we didn't think of this before. It was nicely planned and as always, we enjoyed each other's company. We didn't feel rushed and we felt totally relaxed. 

Once we were all there, we ate, and sipped on some wine, then came the fun part. We all choose to apply this Glam Glow Gravity Mud Mask - Power Ranger version. Same concept as the gravity mud, but this was a green mask good for firming, treat fine lines and wrinkles and uneven skin tone. We all decided after to also apply a sheet mask for hydration.

I definitely recommend you having something like this with your girlfriends.

Pucker up!

I was able to get my hands on some of her liquid lipsticks and I was amazed at how creamy and super pigmented they are. I've tried them in the past but did hear bad reviews, so I stayed away. Now they have reformulated their formula and they aren't so drying on your lips, super long-lasting and rich in color with a matte finish.
