Tara Lauren Spring 2019 Preview

Yesterday, was magical. I was lucky enough to attend Tara Lauren's Preview of their new Spring 2019 Collection and the collection was amazing. As soon as we walked into the venue, it was whimsical and full of elegance. All her bridal dresses were picture perfect and I was enamored with all of them.  Full of lace, sheer details, and the long v-necks. I was truly loving them all. We were only previewing 8 out of their 25 dresses.

The event was held in Huntington Beach, CA by the marina. The weather was nice and sunny and the mimosas kept on coming. Also, we were able to meet the designers of the dresses. They are two sisters from Orange County which recently moved their showroom back home, in Orange County. They were so nice and excited to showcase their new collection.

I posted a few pictures on my IG and kept getting questions about my outfit, particularly my dress. You guys, you know I love Shein and this was actually from them. It was perfect for an afternoon outing. The fit was perfect, the color was vibrant and picture perfect.

Make sure you check out my IG for more recent pictures!

My very first Movie Premiere!

Yesterday, I was invited to attend my very first movie premiere of Ya Veremos, this was huge!!! First, I want to thank @Weallgrowlatina for inviting me. It was such an amazing experience and so surreal. We arrived in LA Live so early, my sister and I decided to catch a bite at Rosa Mexicano. We enjoyed a quick bite with a Spicy Paloma.

Then we headed to the premiere. We saw the main cast walk the red carpet along with other several celebrities, TV personalities and influencers. Of course, we didn't know what to expect but we took it all in. If you follow me on IG, you can see my Instagram Stories. I was able to record and show you some behind the scene footage of the event.

The movie was super cool, family-friendly and funny.  I loved the story behind it. You definitely have to check it out when it comes out in Theaters  Friday, August 31.  I did end up taking a quick picture with one of the characters, he plays Santi in the film, really sweet little boy.

Overall our LA Adventure was so much fun and was glad I was able to experience this.

Until next time................ Xoxo

Celebrating at the Happiest Place on Earth!!

This past weekend, my daughter turned the big 10! And what better way to celebrate her birthday than at Disneyland. We spent almost the entire day at Disneyland and at CA Adventures Park. It was a day full of magic, smiles, and celebration.

We started our day at Disneyland, our first ride was space mountain. We had to get the roller coasters first because they normally have the longest wait times. We had lunch at Pizza Planet and took pictures in Toontown!

Then we headed over to CA Adventures Park. Here we went on the swings, walked the new Pixar Pier and had drinks by the boardwalk. I love being able to enjoy a day at Disney because I don't feel rushed that we have to get in all the rides at once. It was a small group and well worth it. We ended the day at Disneyland watching Pixar's Play Parade while eating some ice cream.

Overall, it was a magical day spent with Minnie and Mickey!
Thank you, Disneyland for making all of our dreams come true!

Happy Birthday, princess!

Until next time............. Xoxo

My day-to-day complexion routine.

Hi Guys!

Today I will share with you guys what I use on a daily basis when it comes to my complexion routine. I use these products mostly all the time. There are times when I change it up for special occasions but for the most part, this is my current routine.

First and for most, you need to have a primer. This is a must. Why a primer? Because if you want your makeup to last all day long, you need a primer and this comes first prior to your foundation. There are different types of primers but I use this one from Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer. It minimizes my pores, it controls the oil and makes my foundation last all day!!

Next, I apply my foundation. I'm loving this one from Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation – Peaches and Cream Collection. It's mattifying and has a medium to full coverage. I apply this of course with a Beauty Blender and the application is flawless. This is the only tool I use and what works for me. Next, I apply a concealer and it's from Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Industrial Strenght Concealer. I use this concealer to get the coverage that I need and to highlight my under eye area. The next final step is to set the foundation with a setting spray. This setting spray is from Mac Cosmetics Fix Plus. It locks the liquids together and gives you a dewy look.

So, this is what works for me. It's easy, simple and quick. I don't like using many products but as you can see this is the most basic routine ever, trust me.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to share your routine with me as well.

Until next time.............. Xoxo

Summer Pop-up Event at Sleek Shop!

This past Saturday I attended a Self Love Summer Market event hosted by Sleek Shop in Tustin, CA. It was a well-organized event with a lot of networking to explore the hottest brands in health, beauty, and fashion. I took my daughter for "Mommy & Me" time and she loved it. It was nice to hang out with her and do girl stuff. They had a complimentary braid bar and a lot of picturesque stations for the Gram.

Stay hydrated!

 My daughter Lilly

The goodie bag was definitely well worth it. They had so many brands from Schwarzkopf, LA Splash, LA Girl, Wella Professionals, Hip & Chick, Vanity Girl and so many more. This goodie bag was Amazing!!!

Until next time............... Xoxo

Fall Vibes!

Hi Guys, Happy Wednesday!

So, for those of you that live in Cali, you all know what I'm talking about when we say, "I'm over the heat wave". Who's with me?

I seriously can't wait to wear oversized sweaters, sweatpants, uggs, maybe a fedora or just fall clothing in general. I know California doesn't have a real Fall per-say. Our Falls are normally 70ish degree weather but I'll take that. I want it to cool down.

Here is some inspiration and my recent outfit post that screams Fall. Everything from the burgundy hues, to the print of the dress.

Dress: Forever21
Shoes: Target
Hat: Nordstrom

Trying something new!

Yeah, it's Monday and we all aren't ready to take on today but I wanted to share with you guys my experience at indoor cycling. So we, SoCal Blogger Babes, were invited to attend a private session of indoor cycling at Union Ryde in Tustin, CA. It's a fairly new location and there is two in Southern California. Their second location is in Newport Beach, CA. Yes, it was my first time and I didn't do that bad. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect but so worth it. I left, a new woman!

So start time was at noon and arrived just in time. We were greeted as soon as we came in and asked our shoe size, which they provide bicycling shoes and a towel for you, which is perfect!!! Then we were escorted into the room and we were able to choose our bikes, they all looked the same as it was just a matter of where you wanted to be. The session was an hour long and I was dying at the first 5 minutes into the class. Like I said, it was my first time and my legs weren't ready for this but I gave it all and I finished. Of course, I was drenched in sweat but so worth it. The instructors kept you motivated and pushed you to not give up, the variety of music they played was on point and the motivation was definitely there.

After the session, we were given wet towels to refresh ourselves and were offered an Acai Bowls from Berry Brand. They were super delicious and the perfect tread after our workout.

Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend you should at least try it once. I plan on going back and taking a friend, that's how much I enjoyed it.

I woke up this morning and my legs aren't that sore but my bottom is from the seat.
Happy Monday!!

Until next time................. Xoxo

Dine LBC: Last and final stop!

By the looks of the title, yes, this was our very last stop of the Dine LBC: Fork Yeah! Restuarant week.

We were sent to The Thicke Shake Factory in Long Beach, CA. This was the first time I've heard about this location. I believe it's the first location ever in the states. The owner started his shake business in India, which was cool to hear a little history of this shop. So basically they specialize in shakes. They have their hand-selected shakes in which they have already created for you or you can customize your own shake with the type of ice cream and toppings and then it gets blended into this thick consistency that you can either drink or enjoy with a spoon.

The one I chose was already on the menu and it was the Belgian Chocolate shake. It was a chocolate lovers dream I did add some almonds to be blended for a crunch.

Overall, I had so much fun roaming around the city and trying out different places and by the end of it all, I was so full and satisfied.

Thank you, everyone, for having us!

Until next time............. Xoxo

Dine LBC: Second Stop, Great Society

As restaurant week continues and as promised I'm sharing with you guys our next stop from our Sunday's adventure. We were sent to Great Society.  I knew, coming in, I was going to love this place and I sure did. It had an old rustic feel to it with a pub vibe and I was digging it.

We were greeted and sat at a nice table outdoors. Our server went over the difference of ciders and meads and mind you, I am so glad because I had no idea. She asked us to make our selections on what ciders and meads we wanted to try, but we just said "surprise us" and they sure did.

Below are the selections of ciders and meads we sampled.

From left to right:

  1. Lost Cause Mead Buck it All 11.5% ABV from San Diego (Buckwheat blossom mead, semi-sweet)
  2. Newtopia Cyder Wyld 6.5% ABV from San Diego (Tart, semi-dry blackberry cider)
  3. Shacksbury Old World Cider 6.5% ABV Shoreham, VT (semi-dry, mildly acidic, refreshing cider)
  4. Golden State Cider Gingergrass 6.4% ABV Sebastopol, CA ( semi-dry, ginger lemongrass)

My favorite one was #26  - Shacksbury Old World Cider

We were also asked to make our food choices. We went for the Mac and Cheese and a side of Brussels sprouts. By far, this has been the best mac and cheese I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and it melted right off the plate.

BAKED CHEDDAR MAC & CHEESE - macaroni baked with 3 kinds of cheeses

CRISPY PONZU BRUSSELS SPROUTS - tossed in a ponzu brown sugar glaze

You guys, have to try their mac and cheese, seriously!!! Make sure you continue to check in during the rest of the week to show you guys my last and final stop of #dinelbc restuarant week!

Until next time............ Xoxo

Dine LBC: First stop, Lasher's Kitchen!

Happy Monday!!!
Yesterday, I was able to partake in this amazing Dine LBC #ForkYeah Restuarant Week event. We were able to enjoy a progressive dinner throughout some of the restaurants in the City of Long Beach and enjoyed a variety of dishes they carried. The restaurants who participated last night were Lasher's Kitchen, Great Society, and Thicke Shake Factory. I will show you guys what we enjoyed throughout the week so stay tuned.

Today's feature will be our first stop which was Lasher's Kitchen in Long Beach on 2nd Street. This place was right on second street. The ambiance was really relaxing and chic and we were greeted by the owner, a great server and Chef Roq. They were all super friendly. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine with three shareable plates.

Our first sharable plate was this amazing appetizer. It's called "Fried Green Tomatoes" (Andouille Sausage and Cajun Cream Sauce). The sauce was so tasty but had a nice kick to it.

The second shareable plate was not on their menu but because it was National Oyster Day, they decided to include this platter for us. It was my first time having an oyster and my god, it was to die for. It melted in your mouth, I topped it off with this ponzu sauce and went for it. Let me tell you, the presentation was everything.

Another dish was this "Pastry Wrapped Baked Brie" on blackberry jam and citrus slaw and let me tell you the pastry was crisp and fluffy and the jam kept the flavor sweet and savory. It was one of my favorite dishes.

Overall, everything was so good and I recommend this place. We indulged and enjoyed every minute of it. Don't forget to stop during the week to check out the rest of my restaurant week experience.

Thank you to the staff at Lasher's Kitchen for having us!

Until next time.............. Xoxo

I'm back!!!!

Hi Guys!   How is everyone doing? I know I've been MIA for a while. Seriously, with so much going on I wasn't inspired to get on her...
