Bye, Bye Pimples!

I hate breaking out and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. So I was excited when Hero Cosmetics and Palm sent me these mighty patches to try out. 

They are a transparent hydrocolloid sticker big enough to cover your nose, back or chin. You apply directly to the affected area and leave for up to 6 hours max. The strip will start turning white, that means it's working. It will extract the impurities and works best on whiteheads. It's a little gross when seeing the results but it's mighty powerful and super satisfying. My husband and I tried them and we were definitely impressed! 

USAGE:

• Step 1: Identify the pimples. It’s important to note that the pimples will need to have fluid or pus for it to work.
• Step 2: Cleanse. Go through your cleansing routine - cleanser, toner, etc.
• Step 3: Apply Mighty Patch Surface. Give it at least 6 hours to work its magic.
• Step 4: Remove. Once the patch has turned opaque, you know it worked. Take it off and discard the patch.

Netflix and Masking!

Hi Guys!!! 

Lately, my skin has been looking a little dull and I think it's because of the dry weather here in CA.  Recently, Patchology and Palm sent me a pack of their Flashmasque sheet masks and eye gels. San Diego Daycation!

Happy Monday everyone!! 

Can't believe its Monday, wow!! This weekend was such a blur but definitely needed and now back on the grind. I wanted to share our quick trip to San Diego this past weekend. We had so much fun and all the traffic and headaches were well worth it. We had all day to sightsee, eat and shop but coming home was a struggle. 

Overall, it was a much needed mini daycation for the kids and ourselves to really just enjoy each others company.We visited the USS Midway Museum. This museum is located at the Navy Pier and it consists of a wide collection of aircrafts. It was pretty amazing to see the inside of some of the aircrafts and learn the history of it, then we soaked in the Unconditional Surrender Statue (my favorite of the trip). This statue is huge and beautiful. then eat at Karl Strauss, and walked around Seaport Village. This trip was quick but well worth it!! 

Can't wait to go back!

Polka Dots on a Monday!

Today's post is all about Polka Dots. I've been on the hunt for this print either in a dress or a blouse and finally found it. Wearing this print is definitely a bold statement but in a good way. You also have to be careful, because of the bold print, it might not be flattering on your body. It's all these obstacles you have in consideration but either way,  I just decided to get it.

The Macallan Manor @ Greystone Mansion Scotch-Whisky Tasting

I was invited to attend a Scotch-Whisky tasting a while back for November and finally, the day arrived. Yesterday, we attended the event with my best friend. We kept getting reminder emails about the details and how to dress so we knew it was going to be a great event. 

The event was The Macallan Manor held at the Greystone Manor in Beverly Hills, CA. The venue was amazing and so gorgeous (I wanted to move in). The mansion had spectacular views of LA that you only see in the movies. 

We arrived right on time (if you don't know, LA traffic sucks) which at first I was sweating it because we were so close to not making it on time. We checked in and drove up the hill to this beautiful mansion with a long driveway. Once we checked in the door, we waited in this amazing patio and passed around a lavender mocktail, this pretty much was lavender water with ice but it sounded and looked beautiful. As they called our time, they opened the doors to this amazing mansion to begin our whiskey tasting experience. 

We went in in groups to tour three different rooms. Each room had a different experience uniquely crafted around an expression of Macallan whiskey. They tested our hearing and taste sensors for sure where you were able to taste and smell some of the ingredients each bottle carried. It was a great experience and it ended with a live Jazz band where we mingled with guest and also networked, oh and let's not forget, a lot of pictures were taken. 

It was not your typical Wednesday evening and of course, we had so much fun!!
