Holiday Shades of Red

With the holidays around the corner, this means attending holiday work parties and several friends and family gatherings, and planning what to wear, deciding on your makeup look can be a struggle. For me, I'm always thinking of changing my makeup look to being holiday inspired and it's all about finding the perfect shade of red lipstick.  

I like to be bold with my lipstick and have learned what works for my olive skin tone. Depending on where you are going, you want to also make sure you are considering the formula of the lipstick. A lip stain works best because I don't have to reapply every minute but any formula will do, as long as you don't mind reapplying all the time. 

I went through my lipstick collection and gathered five of my top favorite shades of red. Some are blue undertone and some are an orange-red undertone. I have a variety of lip stains, a lipstick, and two glosses.

Friendsmas 2017 with Besties

I am beyond blessed to have these girls as my best friends. I trust them and can always rely on in time of need. We are always celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and just anything that is important in our lives. 

This year, we celebrated the holiday season with our Annual Friendsmas, 2017. It was hosted by my very own cute Blondie's home. It felt much for enjoyable and comfortable, rather than going to busy restaurants. We all brought stuff to eat, drink and be merry. 

We picked out names prior so after dinner we exchanged our gifts and just laughed at all the silly things we had to say about each other.

Her husband was our bartender, and let me tell you, he made the best drinks for us. They were all so good and full of cuteness. 

 It was seriously, the best Friendsmas gathering we had so far. But the best is yet to come......

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb Voxbox

I was again chosen to be part of this voxbox. This time around it was an eye cream from Belif. This brand is a K-Beauty brand (Korean Brand) and we all know, any Korean brand will do wonders on your skin. This eye cream is super rich, moisturizing, boosts elasticity and smooths out fine lines around your eye area. 

I was greatly appreciated to be receiving this product because we all need a boost of hydration during the winter time. I apply a dime size around my eye area and orbital bone at night so my skin can regenerate at night. I've been using it for the past couple months and I can tell this product is working on my skin.

Lately, I've been seeing this online store, Shein.com come up on my Instagram feed more and more it has attracted my attention, even my sister has ordered from them so I decided to give it a try. They currently have a lot of sales and promotions from Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals. It's crazy how many offers they have. 

They have the cutest clothes, shoes, and accessories. My recent picks were mostly outerwear, a top, and a gorgeous black dress, I couldn't pass on it. I'm obsessed with everything they had to offer, so it was hard for me to decide and make selections. I normally go with comfort and what's on trend, also what's in my closet that I need to add for sure to my wardrobe.

Sunday Funday at the San Diego Zoo!

This past Sunday, hubby and I decided to take the kids to the San Diego Zoo. We've been to a zoo before but not this one. This was our first San Diego Zoo experience. My husband has been to this particular zoo, but back in the 90s when he was younger. 

He was excited to come back and bring the kids along for their first experience, as well. We left early morning and arrived right when they opened. He, of course, wanted to be there as early as possible and not miss anything. We were able to get on their bus tour, this went through the entire zoo and the guide was able to explain some of their exhibits and history about some of the animals the zoo had to showcase.

The kids enjoyed every minute of it, they enjoyed seeing all the exotic animals and especially loved seeing the gorillas and the pandas. We also rode in their Skyfari Tram and we were able to see the entire zoo from up above. 

For being my first time, I really enjoyed it and it was all about making memories with them and having them enjoy a family outing.

Ice Cream, You Scream....

This weekend we visited the Museum of Ice Cream in LA. We were able to get tickets about a week ago when they went on sale. This is a really popular museum where each room has a different concept involving ice cream. It's about 8 rooms or so, full of imagination and fun. It was definitely a fun experience, and we enjoyed everything about it. 

We got tickets for Sunday night and I was so sick, I was debating if I should go or not. But I, one, it was a sold out venue and two, they were already paid for and didn't want the tickets to go to waste. So I just decided to push my sickness aside and go for the ride. I took my daughter and met up with my sister, her boyfriend, and my nieces and made the best of a Sunday night. We drove to LA in the evening visited Urth Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles for some dessert and coffee, then waited for the time to go by to get into the museum. 

Once we got in, it was definitely a place full of imagination, with huge Popsicles, a pool of sprinkles, a room full of rainbows and colorful all away around. In some of the rooms, you were able to enjoy some ice cream and some ice cream toppings too. 

My favorite room was the banana room where you were able to swing on a swing with a banana background and yellow and pink bananas hanging from the ceiling.

The Gummie Bear room- This was lifesize gummie bears with free gummy bear treats to try 

And the grand finale was the Sprinkle Pool. This was actually my daughter's favorite room. She seriously was going crazy!!!
