Retirement Party??

So, I was looking through my photo album on my phone and came across several outfits and noticed something very similar in most of them. Frankly, I'm a little embarrassed. I've been wearing my fave flannel a lot lately, I mean that's why I bought it but seriously I think I need to retire this flannel. 

I created a little collage of my favorite times I wore and you let me know if I should retire it? Or just buy it in another color?? hahaha....and in case anyone was wearing were I scored this bad boy at, of course it was Target.

#OOTD

For the past couple weeks, I've been trying to put more time and effort on this blog. I want this baby grow into something better and I know I can do it. I'm sure you have noticed more posts recently, am I doing good?? 

Today's post will be and Outfit of the Day (OOTD). I love playing dress up even if I don't have no where to go. I always work with what I got and tend to wear my clothes more than once, as the average person would do too. 

You can't go wrong with a basic black pencil skirt and black tee, these are both from Forever21. The kimono is one of my favorite pieces I own and scored it at Target a while back. My booties were actually from a local thrift shop, and they are Dolce Vita. I found them for really cheap and in very good condition. They are my favorite go-to booties. 

And this is me!

Tarte Holiday Brush Set

I added a couple new makeup brushes to my collection and OMG, they are so nice and soft I don't event want to use them. 

It's a limited edition toolbox brush set with a magnetic case. The brushes are double-ended and for foundation, powder and eye-shadow. It was an early Christmas present for myself and I'm loving it so much. 

Was it too early to start Christmas shopping??

#TBT: Welcome to Chicago!

In honor of the Cubs winning the World Series, I wanted to share some pictures of the time we went to Chicago, IL with my family. First time visiting the windy city and we had the time of our lives. It's definitely a city you would want to go back for sure, we fell in love. 

It was a quick visit but we made the best of it, left from Orange County on a Wednesday and came back the following Monday. 

My kids had an awesome experience seeing relatives and just exploring the city. We talk about our trip a lot and I'm glad we were able to give them an awesome memory for them to remember.

My Top 6 Foundations

I wanted to share with you guys my top six foundations that I use when going out, for work or just for special occasions. 

These are what work for me and my type of skin. They are medium to full coverage foundations and I always apply a primer before application and use a beauty blender. When applying a foundation remember to always use a primer. A foundation will work better and will stay in place all day, trust me. Also, I use the Laura Mercier Translucent powder to lock it in place.

Erno Laszlo Review

I was recently was sent this Erno Laszlo Detoxifying Double Cleanse Travel Set complimentary to try out. For the last couple days, I've been incorporating it into my nighttime skincare routine and let me tell you, I'm loving the results.

The way it works is first you apply the cleansing oil all over your dry face and second you use the bar (rinse it with warm water) and apply it on the face. Move it in circular motions all over the face. After, rinse your face with warm water. Your skin feels so soft and supple. It works well with all skin types and cleans out all oil, impurities and clogged pores.

For me, in the past I've never used a bar soap and was afraid of it leaving my skin feeling dry, but not at all. I finished it off with a night cream and eye cream. The next morning, my skin feel so smooth and really hydrated. I'm loving it so far. It's something I would recommend you using.

Saint Pablo Tour Experience

..........................and just like that, we are back to normal.

But last Thursday night was epic. We began with a ride to LA in traffic during rush hour. No worries, we were all hyped and just anxious to get there so we didn't mind it at all. We finally arrived and the vibe, as soon as you exit the freeway, is way different. I think in general the LA scene is way different than the OC. 

As we are walking to the Forum taking pictures the crowds were already there. We waited 2 hours before they could let us in but casually enjoyed people watching, the atmosphere and some drinks. 

Finally, they let us into the venue. We found our seats and wait another hour for the show to begin. As soon as the lights turned off that's when the entire crowd started screaming and we screamed, "MR.WEST IS IN THE BUILDING!!" 

The entire show was amazing. Like I've said it before, I've been a fan of Kanye's music, his ego and his lifestyle. I love how he's not afraid to speak his mind. Not everyone likes him but what can I say. 

Concert was an hour and a half and the entire time we were standing up dancing, singing and cheering Kanye on. It was definitely a concert I will never forget. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed with my sister, her BF and my nephew. Felt a little old, but that's okay, I'm young at heart.
