Product Review: Boy Brow and Lip Gloss from Glossier

As some of you may already know, I recently visited the new Glossier store in Los Angeles and I was able to get my hands on their most popular product, their Boy Brow. I also bought myself their gloss. 

First up, their boy brow product. This is a grooming pomade which comes in three different colors. You can get it in clear, brown, black or blonde. This small mascara wand applicator and the tinted pomade resembles another popular brand product for the eyebrows.  

I selected the brown shade. It's more of a pomade to groom your brows, keeps them in place and gives it some texture without looking so over the top. 

Step 1. Groom your brows

Step 2. Apply the product going up, side, down. This is a trick I've learned and it works. Always brush the brow the way it grows. 

Step 3. Apply the product in place to frame the brow

Step 4. Clean up brow with concealer or makeup remover

After using the boy brow product on my eyebrows, I felt I still needed more product. It wasn't giving me what I wanted my eyebrow to look. I had to go again with another product to fill in and give me a fuller brow. The reason why it wasn't working for my eyebrows is that this product is meant for someone that has full brows. I don't have a lot of brow hair and it's really thin and fine, so the product wasn't holding on to anything that much. I did use it after to give me more texture and that did the trick. I liked it better how it looked with another product than using it alone. 

Now on to the lip gloss. This product just enhances your lips by making them look fuller and plumped without actually applying a plumper. It's becoming my favorite gloss, why because it's not tacky, has vitamin E to keep your lips hydrated and it's clear. You can easily apply one swipe on the lip and it gives you the full effect right away. The applicator makes it easy to apply which is another plus. 

Overall, my favorite product was the lip gloss. I love lip product so far. The boy brow is a great product but for my type of eyebrows, it didn't work. Don't get me wrong, I like it but just not for me.

Happy Tuesday! Today has me feeling like it's Monday because of the long weekend but so glad it's not. I'm hoping everyone had a nice weekend. With that said, it's a beautiful day here in Cali and summer is already just around the corner. 

I'm featuring this beautiful short dress from Shein in today's outfit post. I'm loving how lightweight it feels, the tiered effect and color is a plus. 

The style is Frill Detail Bishop Sleeve Tiered Botanical Dress from Shein. The material is Chiffon and the length is a little short for my liking, but it's so cute and sexy. I couldn't pass it off! 

Who is excited about Summer!?? 

This would be a perfect dress to wear for an afternoon brunch date with your girls or even a summer wedding. I wore it for a quick outing with my husband and it was just perfection.

Happy Memorial Day!

Hope everyone is having a great day and today, take some time remembering those who have fallen serving our country's armed forces. 

In honor of today's national holiday I decided to incorporate our country's colors in my outfit. I paired my Elastic Waisted Pleated Wide Pants from Shein with a lace sleeveless top and to top it off, a nice pop of color, my crossbody handbag from Target. This has been my month's favorite accessory so far.

Visiting the new Glossier Store in LA!

This weekend, my girlfriend and I drove up to LA to check out the new Glossier Store.

 If you don't know what this brand is, please google it. It's a beauty brand which sells beauty products, skin care, and body care. Their new store opened up last week and we've been hearing a lot of buzz and also seeing so many posts on social media so we decided to make an LA adventure out of it. We drove up to West Hollywood early Sunday afternoon, took in the LA traffic, which for a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't that bad. 

The store is nicely decorated with pink floors, pink stands, pink everything. Decored with huge tall mirrors around the walls, simple yellow flower arrangements, and their products nicely displayed flat around the store. Even their employees look amazing wearing a pink jumpsuit as their uniform. 

Every corner is Instagram appropriate, you have to take advantage of the space and decor. 

Also, if you go, make sure you experience their pink canyon room "Glossier Canyon". This is a small room where you enter and it's inspired by the Antelope Canyon in Arizona. From the lighting to the sounds, it's perfection!!

Of course, I had to get some of their products. I will do a review on their products soon. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed the trip. Hope you guys get to go if you are in the LA area.

Styling a Romper

I was able to score this great romper from Shein. The reason why I chose this Romper is that of the ruffled sleeves and the off-the-shoulder neckline. It's a simple but yet so chic romper, I love it. This was so easy to style because it was an outfit that required minimal jewelry, a simple classic shoe with a handbag that complimented the color of the romper.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Today, we celebrate Mother's Day and I'm beyond blessed to celebrate this day with my beautiful mother, family, and kids. My mother is an amazing role mother and caring grandmother to all her grandkids and admire her patience with my children, which they love her dearly.

For today, I wanted to dress up and wear something appropriate. I'm wearing this fabulous dress from Shein. You guys know, this is totally my jam! I love the comfort and looking fabulous is a plus. This Flower Print Box Pleated Dress from Shein is everything with the rose flower print and the long sleeves. It's in the size Medium and the fabric has a good stretch. I paired it with these nude heels from Target from the A New Day collection.

Soft Dazzled Look!

Hi Guys!! 

I've been super inspired to create this look and to share with you guys the products I used. This is using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette with the Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot. I wanted the eyeshadow to be the main focus so I went with a nude lip gloss and completed the eye with false lashes. The go-to brand of lashes I use is Ardell Lashes. Their lashes are super luxe, with a flexible band that is easy to apply. 

Also, this Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot has been on my "must-haves" because of the great reviews I've read so of course, I bought it. The shade I used is in Park Ave Princess. It's a metallic bronzed that dazzles in the sunlight. My favorite hour to take pictures is the"Golden Hour", FYI!!

Summer Stylin'

Summer, I'm ready for you. I love the "off the shoulder" style because you feel sexy without showing to much skin and specially because they are looser at the bottom, it gives me the ability to breathe.

I found the best combination, color and style for summer and guess where I found it? My favorite online store, Shein. I paired the blouse with my favorite white jeans and some light blue heels.

It was by far my most comfortable outfit, yet. Don't forget to check out Shein for other amazing selections!

Sunglass Collection featuring Quay Australia

With Summer around the corner, I wanted to share the shades that I've collected from Quay Australia. I love this brand of sunglasses because they are affordable and their designs are pretty amazing and cool. 

As you notice, my favorite type of sunglasses is in the color black. You can't have enough of black sunnies. Not sure why but they always attract my attention. I did just get the new style from their #QUAYXDESI collection in white. I wanted to get them in black but I decided to just go out of my comfort zone and buy the white ones. They are actually really cute and I'm so in love with this style. You guys have to check them out.
