Letting go of my insecurities!

Hi guys!!! 

Let the weekend begin. This week was super fun and chill. I finally did the unexpected and decided to wear a bathing suit to the beach. For those that know me, you know that I don't like to wear bathing suits because I've never been happy with my body. Ever since I had kids, I've been ashamed and my stretch marks and how I've gained weight throughout the years.  

Being a mom of two daughters, I can't say it's not easy. I have to remind them and teach them to love themselves and their bodies. Body positivity is important to me when it comes to raising my girls. I'm glad I am able to share with you guys what' I've gone through and how my body has changed. Having kids was the best thing ever for me, I love being a mother and it changed my body completely. Having stretch marks, I use to dread wearing a bathing suit. I hated it and felt so self-conscious about how people looked at me because I was not skinny. I'm no size 0 but I am a size 8 and can proudly wear a bathing suit now and show my scars. 

You don't have to be perfect and no one is. I love how I am able to share this with my daughters and let her know that the perfect body doesn't exist and they are perfect just the way they are. Letting go of my struggles and sharing them with you is the best form of therapy for me. I'm happy and enjoying life as it comes.

Beauty 101 and #OOTD

Hi guys!!! 

I hope you guys had a great weekend so far. So today, I attend my very first Beauty 101 event in LA and it was so much fun. It was the perfect way to spend my Sunday afternoon. The drive wasn't bad at all and the weather was gloomy but good in a way. 

This event was offering so many services like lash extensions, getting your makeup done, 15 min massage and food and drinks to enjoy. I really enjoyed my time and I was glad I was able to attend. 

The best part, my outfit!!!

Guilty, who me??

Who doesn't love a designer piece, especially when it's from a well-known label. Well when I saw this on Shein's website, I knew I had to get it. This t-shirt is less than $10 and it has a sassy one-word printed on it, GUILTY.

I wore the T-Shirt with some black leather pants/leggings, black pointed heels, and a jean jacket. This outfit was fierce and it fit just right! You can find a similar t-shirt to the one I'm wearing, here.

Current Obsession- Jumpsuits

Not sure why, but I'm really into jumpsuits right now. Believe it or not, I feel they are comfortable and so effortless to style because its one single piece of clothing and all you have to worry about is the shoes and accessories. You can wear them with heels or with booties so that they elongate your legs.

34 never looked so good!

March 7, 1984, my birth date. 

I'm always excited to celebrate my birthday but today was different. I kept thinking, 34 yrs old, is closer to 35, closer to 40 yrs!! Then, I just realized OHHMMMYYGGOOSSHH, I'm old. Seriously, I have to embrace my age with confidence and don't let it get to me and live my life with confidence and happiness. With that, here is an outfit post, this is what makes me happy.

I decided to wear this Wide leg Flounce Tube Jumper from Shein. It's so comfortable and the material is stretchy, always a plus. I selected it in black because we all know black is everything!! Go check out Shein for more cute pieces, you definitely have to check it out! The heels are from Forever.21 and you aren't going to believe how much I got them for??? Found them on the clearance section for less than $10. 

The beautiful earrings are from J&G. They are in the style Pink Elle which were sent to me.

Prepping for Spring/Summer, Swimwear Edition

Since the beginning of the year all I've been saying is "Summer Bod, coming soon" and what I mean is working out constantly and making good food decisions. This saying is a constant reminder that when Spring and Summer season gets here, I have to be ready to wear swimwear including two-pieces with confidence. That's not always the case because let's be real, I have stretch marks and after three kids, I don't have so much confidence to wear a bathing suit but hey, this year is different. I have been working out 4-5 times a week and running on the weekends. I have to show off my results, right? 

My family and I are planning some summer trips and I'm not afraid to wear a bathing suit or even a two-piece . I've been online constantly trying to fine cute pieces, either to mix or match or wear together. My go-to site to find cute swimwear is obviously, Shein.com  !!!

Mom approved OOTD

I'm a mom of three and I live for comfortable clothes. Yes, I do love dressing up but sometimes comfort wins for the day. I received these black vertical striped pants from Shein.com . They are actually sold out currently, but if you search striped pants, you will find similar ones, here.  They have side pockets and are true to size. I had two looks in mind and decided to dress them down in a cute t-shirt and sandals. 

I could of easily done them up and paired them with some heels but that day I knew I was going to be running errands with two out of three kids and I had to go with the sandals.

Birthday Celebration and OOTD on a Sunday!

I have a close circle and we love to celebrate life celebrations and especially birthdays! Today, we celebrated our close friends birthday and we totally went all out. We made it extra special and focused on every detail as possible. One of our other close friends, hosted it at her house and made it extra special for the birthday girl.

From, the smallest details to the biggest details, we had it covered. The birthday girl loves Unicorns, so we knew the theme from the get-go.

I wore this striped long tee dress with pockets and it was from Shein.com . It was a black and white striped dress with pockets and I paired it with some black pointed high heels to go with it. I loved my look and it was definitely so comfortable specially because it was so windy, I didn't have bother with my outfit.
