#OOTD, Christmas Card Edition

Over the weekend my family and I decided to take holiday pictures. We needed new family photos and one of my best friend offered to take pictures of us and of course I said yes!! There is no better excuse to get all dolled up than for a photo shoot. 

I'm so blessed to have friends like this around my life.

I styled all the kids outfits and wanted to keep it casual and simple. The color scheme was neutrals with a pop of color and of course that was my little one, Ellie. She refused to take pictures but overall they turned out so nice.We decided for a nature shot just because we knew it was going to be a gorgeous sunny day and we had to take advantage of the weather. 

Girls skirt and blouse were from Cat & Jack for Target (on clearance) 

and the boys sweatshirt was from Target as well.

I got the KEYS, KEYS!!

Not referring to the song but to my new pair of sunglasses from Quay Australia. They are High Keys in Gold from the Desi Perkins collab. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to google it asap. She's an Instagram sensation that I follow and love so much! 

Quay Australia collaborated with her and she came out with four different style of sunglasses and the High Keys in Gold were the most wanted from the collection. 

I bought them a couple days ago at Nordstrom and haven't had a chance to wear them, yet all day, and actually it rained during the weekend, out of all the days, right.

Mana en Concierto!

This weekend was epic! I went to another concert and it wasn't just any concert, It was Mana! This was so last minute of course. Tickets were purchased late Friday afternoon for Saturday's event.

I've listened to Mana for a while and I love all their songs. It was at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and enjoyed the experience to the fullest. My third concert of the year and can't complain! 

Here are  a couple pictures of the show, our seats were nosebleed seats, but just being their and listening to them live was all I can ask for.

Mannequin Challenge!

Best duo, currently!

Let me explain to you, my skin is really oily and I normally try to control it buy focusing on using skincare products that will, A. control the oily and B. mattify my skin. 

I discovered the rose water by Mario Badescu through my friend. She gifted it to me a while back for my birthday and I have re-bought the bottle three times already. The smell of rose water is refreshing and it's a nice toner to bring back some radiance to my skin. Because I use a mattifying toner at night I don't want my skin looking so dry in the morning. So I spritz a couple sprays and before moisturizing. Then I use my Sunday Riley Brightening Cream. This brings back my skin to life while plumping the skin. 

It took me a while to get my skin to where it is today, but seriously focus on products that will work for your skin type. Also, with skincare products, you don't see results right away. You at least have to give it a month and you will definitely start seeing changes to your skin, trust me.

Celebrity Style Crush: Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner, wow! Your style has really evolved so much. 

I love her current style right now but let's give her stylist credit for sure. It's none other than Monica Rose. Monica's been a stylist to the Kardashian/Jenner clan since the beginning. I've seen her work and every girl is different. Kendall's more of a minimalist but with a chic sense to it. I love it! 

Bottom three are my fave, so me but minus that amazing body she has. I still need to work on that.

My hat game is strong and let's not forget that selfie though. Now, everyone wears a hat just because. Didn't notice I wear them too often but let me explain.............

This one, I was on my way to a college baseball game and of course rooting for the home team, Go Titans! 

Running errands and just at home with the family, I love my Yankees hat so much. Can't wait to actually go to baseball game in NY. 

Cali girl at heart and I root for my home team, Go Angels!! 

Mommy duties around the house and a park day with the kiddos. 

.............and last but not least, you can't go wrong with the best hat I own. This I only wear when I go to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland!!!

Remember the previous Jewelry post, well I wasn't lying. I'm currently on a jewelry kick and not just jewelry but accessories as well. I like to complete a simple outfit with some jewelry. It's effortless and chic, trust me.

Movie Date: Trolls

On Friday, I was able to enjoy my day off by taking the kids to see Trolls. It was such a cute movie. Their soundtrack was good and all of the songs went with the meaning of the movie, which I actually enjoyed. 

Because it was a casual movie trip with the kids, I like to be dress comfortable and cute of course. 

My pink shirt was from Forever21, jeans from a local boutique and my white nikes.

Jewelry Inspo

Right now I"m on a jewelry kick. I normally like to shop for affordable fashion jewelry because I always tend to lose it or misplace it. I know that if I buy something expensive, I'm going to be mad at myself for misplacing it so I'd rather not invest money in fancy jewelry. 

The only expensive thing I own is my wedding band and of course that I always have it on. I never take it off. 

This one is my own picture, I love wearing my Alex and Ani birthstone bangle.

Retirement Party??

So, I was looking through my photo album on my phone and came across several outfits and noticed something very similar in most of them. Frankly, I'm a little embarrassed. I've been wearing my fave flannel a lot lately, I mean that's why I bought it but seriously I think I need to retire this flannel. 

I created a little collage of my favorite times I wore and you let me know if I should retire it? Or just buy it in another color?? hahaha....and in case anyone was wearing were I scored this bad boy at, of course it was Target.

#OOTD

For the past couple weeks, I've been trying to put more time and effort on this blog. I want this baby grow into something better and I know I can do it. I'm sure you have noticed more posts recently, am I doing good?? 

Today's post will be and Outfit of the Day (OOTD). I love playing dress up even if I don't have no where to go. I always work with what I got and tend to wear my clothes more than once, as the average person would do too. 

You can't go wrong with a basic black pencil skirt and black tee, these are both from Forever21. The kimono is one of my favorite pieces I own and scored it at Target a while back. My booties were actually from a local thrift shop, and they are Dolce Vita. I found them for really cheap and in very good condition. They are my favorite go-to booties.

Tarte Holiday Brush Set

I added a couple new makeup brushes to my collection and OMG, they are so nice and soft I don't event want to use them. 

It's a limited edition toolbox brush set with a magnetic case. The brushes are double-ended and for foundation, powder and eye-shadow. It was an early Christmas present for myself and I'm loving it so much. 

Was it too early to start Christmas shopping??

#TBT: Welcome to Chicago!

In honor of the Cubs winning the World Series, I wanted to share some pictures of the time we went to Chicago, IL with my family. First time visiting the windy city and we had the time of our lives. It's definitely a city you would want to go back for sure, we fell in love. 

It was a quick visit but we made the best of it, left from Orange County on a Wednesday and came back the following Monday. 

My kids had an awesome experience seeing relatives and just exploring the city. We talk about our trip a lot and I'm glad we were able to give them an awesome memory for them to remember.
